Frequently Asked Questions

What is DayJet™?

DayJet is a company devoted to solving your business travel problems by pioneering a new option in regional business transportation — "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet services that will make the convenience of corporate jet travel commercially affordable for more people and organizations. DayJet will own, manage and operate its own fleet of new-generation, small jet aircraft as an on-demand air carrier under existing FAA Part 135 on-demand regulations, upon receipt of all necessary government operating authority. DayJet will fly direct between hard-to-reach regional markets on a customized basis according to the individual needs of our customers.

What is "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service?

"Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service is a new class of transportation for short-haul (under 600 miles) regional travel that combines the convenience and efficiency of corporate jets with the affordability and availability of commercial airlines. "Per-seat" means you pay only for the seat you reserve. "On-demand" means you set your schedule and fly where and when it is convenient for you.

How is DayJet "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service different from current air taxi services?

DayJet is something completely new and different. With "Per-Seat, On-Demand" service you pay only for the seat(s) you occupy and the trip legs you fly. Most air taxi services require that you book the entire plane and pay for a round-trip — even if you are only flying one-way.

Each seat aboard DayJet's aircraft will be individually negotiated and customized to the needs of each and every customer. DayJet's operations will be driven solely by individual customer demand and are not subject to anyone's schedule... but yours.

Our per-seat paradigm provides all the efficiency of corporate jet charter, fractional ownership programs, and hourly membership cards at just a fraction of the cost, so the benefits of on-demand travel can extend to many more employees and organizations.

How is DayJet "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service different from commercial air travel?

DayJet will be complementary to scheduled airline service. We believe the primary beneficiaries of "Per-Seat, On-Demand" service will be those individuals who typically drive on business trips today.

Think of it this way: you will find you can forego a long drive and an overnight stay by flying to your destination and back in a single day with DayJet. While this may not be achievable with a scheduled airline flight in each direction, a single day trip will be possible by flying one way on a scheduled flight and the other way on a "Per-Seat,On-Demand" flight tailored to your individual schedule.

What are the enabling forces behind DayJet's "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service?

Our "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet services is a new market enabled only recently through the confluence of technologies — including advanced aircraft manufacturing techniques, integrated avionics, highly efficient powerplants, and a real-time logistics and scheduling operations system — coupled with a new vision of how regional business travel should work: on-demand, according to your needs. This unique combination of aircraft hardware and real-time operations software will result in a cost-effective and highly efficient transportation alternative that meets the demands of today's business traveler.

How much will DayJet charge for its "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service?

DayJet has not yet announced pricing for its "Per-Seat, On-Demand" services. However, due to the breakthroughs in aircraft and computing technologies offering greater operational efficiencies and economies of scale, our "Per-Seat, On-Demand" services will be priced at a modest premium to full-fare coach airfare. For about the same cost as an overnight trip (including airfare, hotel, and per diem), you will reap all the benefits of corporate jet travel.

Where will DayJet offer its "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service?

Business travelers in the Southeastern U.S. (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) will be among the nation's first to benefit from "Per-Seat, On-Demand" business jet service when DayJet takes flight. For those of you who live in other parts of the country, we're eager to ease your regional travel burden too. We will expand our service across the nation. It's just a matter of time before we get to your town.

What type of aircraft is DayJet using for its "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service?

DayJet will base its "Per-Seat, On-Demand" service on the new-generation Eclipse 500 jet. The Eclipse 500 represents one of the first economically viable hardware platforms, which when combined with our own advanced real-time operations system, will make on-demand jet travel broadly affordable and accessible for the first time.

Will DayJet operate its own aircraft or partner with other operators to deliver service?

DayJet will own, manage and operate its own fleet of aircraft to deliver the most responsive, flexible and reliable transportation around our customers' individual needs.

Does the name DayJet mean I can only travel by daylight?

Certainly not. For regional business travelers, DayJet means you can finally get control over your day rather than having the logistics of traveling from point A to point B control you. Because our crews will be fully trained under commercial carrier standards and our aircraft will be equipped with state-of- the-art avionics, DayJet services will be available to you when you need us — night or day.

Generally, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with some variance by location, Monday through Friday, exclusive of the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving Day and the day before Christmas Day and Christmas Day.

Can I buy stock in DayJet?

DayJet is a privately held company and shares are not publicly available at this time.
